Juho Ritola

Juho Ritola is a docent in Argumentation Theory. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Turku in 2004 and has worked at universities in Finland, Estonia, and the Netherlands. His main interest lies in the philosophical, especially epistemological, questions of argument and inference. He has published on fallacies, the notion of critical thinking, and deliberative democracy. He has edited a book and conference proceedings, acted as book review editor for the journal Cogency, and served on the review boards for conferences. He is a member of the steering committee of the European Conference for Argumentation (ECA), a member of the review board for Studies in Logic, Grammar, and Rhetoric, and has done reviewing work for several journals.
