Pascal Girard
Pascal Girard is an associate research fellow at the Lorraine University (Nancy-Metz). His research on post-war political history focuses on the spread and the impact of Manichean representations (conspiracy theory, treason). He also works on domestic political violence (communist party, far-right, trade unions) and, particularly, investigates the link between radical politics, Manichean discourse, and the use of political violence.
He defended his thesis on “Political Conspiracies in France and Italy from the End of the Second World War to the Late 50s.” Apart from his publications in French, he presented his research perspective in “Conspiracies and Visions of Conspiracies in France and Italy after the Second World War,” European Review of History, December 2008.
