Rumena Bužarovska
Rumena Bužarovska is an associate professor of American literature at the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje. She is the author of a study on humor in contemporary American and Macedonian short fiction (What’s Funny: Theories of Humor Applied to the Short Story) and three short story collections (Scribbles, Wisdom Tooth and My Husband). Translations of her stories have been published in various languages. She is a literary translator from English into Macedonian, having translated authors such as J. M. Coetzee, Lewis Carroll, Truman Capote, Charles Bukowski, and Richard Gwyn. Currently, she is also the prose editor of the literary magazine Blesok.
Her research interests include Macedonian and American literature, American studies, humor, and translation.
